Uwe, DL3BQA, who has historically the choice of band in RTTY contests at our station, was going to do an SOSB20 entry in this weekend’s CQ WWDX RTTY contest. As 15 m does not open much these days there was not much I could do without interfering too much with him. Our 80 & 40 m dipoles are just a few meters away from the 20 m beam. While the RF interference between 80 & 20 m is tolerable Uwe’s PA has the problem that it measures my 80 m forward power as return power on 20 m so it regularly trips the protection, i.e. reduces power. 40 m of course gives a bit more interference (2nd harmonic). So it was just a few hours when I could operate a bit. Besides this Chris, DL1MGB, and Paul, DL5CW, were visiting this weekend, too. They attended the Photokina fair in Cologne and it was my pleasure to host them.
